Marketica was founded in 2002 with a simple but ambitious mission: to bring exceptional user experiences to websites and enterprise applications, quickly reaching 5 countries. At a time when business applications were synonymous with clunky interfaces and steep learning curves, we believed there was a better way.

The Early Years

Our first major success came in 2004 with Messenger Plus!, a software enhancement that reached 60 million users worldwide. This experience taught us invaluable lessons about building at scale and understanding user needs across diverse markets and cultures.

Pioneering New Interfaces

In 2009, we became early pioneers in multi-touch technology, developing applications for Microsoft Surface, as well as user-centered collaborative extranets and intranets. This work pushed us to rethink traditional interaction patterns and embrace new ways of engaging with digital content.

The following year, we launched Mappyfriends, RoundRate and other products ahead of their time, recognized in public and private awards in Latin America, Silicon Valley and Europe. The experience deepened our understanding of mobile-first design and real-time data systems.

Enterprise Focus

By 2015, we had pivoted fully to enterprise solutions. Our consumer experience translated remarkably well to the business world, where companies were desperate for software their employees would actually enjoy using. We began partnering with leading organizations in Healthcare and Higher Education on digital transformation initiatives.
